Job Description
Job Summary: The Orthopedic Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive medical and surgical care for patients with disorders, injuries, and diseases of the musculoskeletal system. The role involves diagnosing orthopedic conditions, performing surgical and non-surgical interventions, and coordinating patient rehabilitation to ensure optimal recovery and mobility. Key Responsibilities: *Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases and injuries of bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles, and nerves. *Perform surgical procedures such as fracture fixations, joint replacements, arthroscopies, and corrective surgeries. *Provide non-surgical treatment plans, including medication management, physiotherapy referrals, and rehabilitation guidance. *Interpret diagnostic imaging such as X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans to support clinical decisions. *Manage emergency orthopedic cases and trauma patients efficiently. *Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physiotherapists, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff for comprehensive care. *Educate patients and families on treatment options, recovery plans, and preventive measures. *Maintain accurate patient records, clinical notes, and surgical documentation. *Participate in medical audits, continuing education, and departmental meetings.
